Drone America Expands UAS Capabilities with FAA Exemption
As we welcome 2025, we take a moment to reflect on a significant milestone that defined the past year for Drone America. In May 2024, we were honored to receive the FAA 44807 exemption for commercial operations within the United States for Yamaha’s FAZER SAR unmanned helicopter. This achievement was not just a validation of this technology but a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication.
The 44807 exemption opens the door for advanced aerial data collection and critical operations, enabling the FAZER SAR to play a pivotal role in missions such as monitoring electrical transmission lines, infrastructure inspections, and public safety applications. It represents a significant step forward in our mission to innovate and expand the potential of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
